I’m a witch who thinks in systems. This is my current working model of how reality is structured (the cosmology underneath my practice).
Threads of things started becoming visible through a period of significant transformation, including what I refer to as finding myself in the nothing, and having to divest from external frameworks entirely to find my own footing.
Along with another fundamental question of “if we’re always coherent to what we’re an energetic match for, how does change happen at all?” I couldn’t tell you now exactly when each one started or what it connected to first. I just know they converged here.
What follows is a primer; a map of the territory as I currently see it. It’s derived rather than inherited: I worked backward from observable conditions to ask what must be true for this to be possible. Anything that came through as an answer I wanted to make sure were logically defensible and livable, even if never the complete story and always open to change.
Not fixed truth. One sound description, held lightly, updated when something doesn’t quite fit anymore. The sections build sequentially for clarity, but I find that they operate simultaneously in lived experience.
In fact, it’s apt to note now that I believe the totality of all that is can be perceived or organized in all sorts of ways. I may call that frequency, but that words has a lot of weight to it already, especially in metaphysical spaces, so I will more often use the word pattern – and when I say that I think of the all as grains of sand on a vibration plate – forming different patterns as various sound waves are pushed through the plate.
I offer this framework the way I hold it: here’s where I’m standing, and here’s what I can see from here.
These are the positions from which I am looking. They are the starting conditions that make the rest of the model coherent. Named explicitly so you know where I’m standing.
Axioms
Where I am starting – unproven. I am not saying that these things exist. I am saying that if they do, this is what follows.
The ALL is everything, by definition
If it exists, it is part of the ALL. Nothing is outside it. This is definitional, not empirical, and it constrains what kinds of moves are structurally available.
Awareness exists
Experience is happening is the only thing that cannot be doubted from inside experience.
The shape is non-orientable
The topology of the ALL is non-orientable, like a Klein bottle or toroidal surface, it has no stable inside/outside, no fixed up/down, no privileged orientation point. It is a shape assumption that constrains what kinds of structures are possible within the model.
First Principles
The first layer of definition after the axioms that unfold into the entire cosmology
Awareness is self-referential
Awareness cannot be aware of nothing. In a totality with no outside, self-reference is the first available move.
Differentiation preserves wholeness, creating an irreducible oscillation
When the ALL differentiates, nothing is subtracted (else it wouldn’t still be “the ALL”. Each differentiated node therefore carries the whole with it. This creates a paradox intrinsic to every node: simultaneously distinct and complete. That paradox oscillates: Differentiated / whole, differentiated / whole. That oscillation is magnetism. It is what makes the field active rather than static.
Forgetting creates stable individuation
When a node loses active access to the whole-perspective, the oscillation resolves because it is no longer in tension with distinctness. The node can now experience itself as simply itself. That loss of access is what we call forgetting, and it is the structural condition that allows individuation to stabilize rather than oscillating infinitely.
Values
These do not naturally follow the axioms and first principles, but they reflect what I find to be important given these conditions.
I follow the logic wherever it goes, and I hold conclusions that the geometry requires even when they’re inconvenient.
I explore particular patterns cleanly so their implications remain sound. Conflation is inevitable at some level, but within a given thread, I want the logic to hold and be traceable.
No hierarchy, no diminishment
If the shape has no fixed up, and every node is a complete fragment, then no node can be ranked above another ontologically. There is no ascension, no enlightened endpoint, no state more real than another. Legitimate authority exists but is always contextual and earned by proximity, consent, responsibility, and capacity. Never by rank.
Framing this Framework
I'm not trying to be original. Pieces of this will be recognizable across mystical and philosophical traditions both Eastern and Western, ancient and modern. Independent convergence toward similar structures is itself interesting and it may suggest something about the shape of the territory rather than the cleverness of the mapmaker. There's my attempt at humility.
And now for the honesty - there are a few places where this framework diverges from its nearest neighbors, and they're worth naming:
Most non-dual frameworks treat individuation as illusion to be seen through, or as a lesser version of the whole, as something to be transcended or returned from. This one doesn't. Individuation has full ontological status here. The complete fragment is not a diminished expression of the ALL. It is the ALL, expressed at a different scale. There is nothing to transcend. I often resonate with phrases like "fully human and fully divine". I have long considered myself very related to the earth - I am here. I find it interesting to explore what here means and how I navigate within it, and yet, I believe here is exactly the place I specifically need to be. Some may call it "now," and I have as well, but that pulls in a variable of time that further complicates the story.
Most cosmological frameworks have a destination: enlightenment, the Omega Point, return to the One, the Messianic Age. This one doesn't. The oscillation doesn't want to stop. The navigation system has no endpoint built in. There is no state that is more arrived than another.
Most ethical frameworks are either asserted (divine command, natural law) or derived from human psychology and social contract. This one derives ethics from structure (this is my honoring of my particular orientation to here - I am aligned very strongly to the pattern of structure). If every node carries the creative capacity of the ALL, then honoring agency is the natural conclusion. This is echoed in many spiritual places as "you are me and I am you".
I also didn't enter this from asking what exists and what is real, outside of the convergence of not relying on external structure - to always find me here, now as well as understanding how movement happens. How does stillness become action? If we are always aligned with what we are an energetic match for - how precisely does change even happen?
This section describes the generative structure through which undifferentiated totality becomes visible to awareness. The sequence is retroductive: it asks what conditions must be true for the world we experience to be possible. It is one sound description, not THE account.
Starting observation: change exists. We can verify this from direct experience. The question is: what conditions must be true for change to be possible at all?
- Change requires contrast
- Something must differ from something else.
- Without contrast, there is only sameness, and sameness cannot generate movement.
- Contrast requires ‘other’: a this distinguishable from a that.
- Not difference in degree, but difference in kind.
- A reference point and something outside it.
- If the ALL is everything by definition, nothing can exist outside it.
- ‘Other’ cannot be imported from elsewhere.
- There is no elsewhere.
- Therefore ‘other’ must be generated internally.
- Self-differentiation is not one option among many, it is the only structurally available mechanism.
- That self-differentiating move requires a first split:
- this and not-this.
- Having and not-having.
- The minimum unit of contrast.
- This is polarity: the structural condition that makes distinguishability possible.
- Each differentiated thing carries the whole with it
- subtraction from the ALL is incoherent by definition.
- So every node is a complete fragment: simultaneously distinct and whole.
- That paradox is the seed of the fractal.
- The complete fragment oscillates between its two equally true perspectives:
- differentiated / whole, differentiated / whole.
- That oscillation is intrinsic to the paradox. It is what makes the field active rather than static. This is magnetism.
The non-orientable topology (Klein bottle / toroidal) means orientation is always relational. There is no stable “up” in this geometry. Hierarchy does not appear in this framework because the shape does not support it.
Polarity: the principle of other
Not conflict. Not opposition. The structural condition that makes distinguishability possible. Present at the first split: this and not this. Persisting as the ongoing driver of all movement.
The Complete Fragment
Every differentiated node carries the whole with it. Subtraction from the ALL is incoherent by definition because there is nowhere to put what gets shed. So each node is simultaneously distinct (other) and complete (whole at a new scale).
The Fibonacci analogy:
the generative logic (that each new thing carries the seed of what preceded it, producing self-similar recursion) is structurally analogous to the Fibonacci sequence
Magnetism: the oscillation
The complete fragment does not sit statically in its paradox. It oscillates:
differentiated → whole → differentiated → whole
That alternation is intrinsic to the paradox. The movement is what makes the field active rather than static.
Polarity is the condition. Magnetism is polarity in motion: the oscillation of the complete fragment between its two equally true perspectives.
Forgetting resolves the oscillation
When a node forgets its connection to the whole, the oscillation settles. Individuation stabilizes.
One becomes many through fractal division
Nothing is lost. The whole expresses at a new scale. Each node contains the ALL: a complete expression at a different resolution.
The seed pattern of the ALL in everything This shape starts creating fractals of separation.
On one hand encoding the ALL into every node, on the other creating differentiated individual nodes operating with the same all-presence.
The I AM Field as local collapse
The individual I AM Field is the ALL collapsed into a local field of awareness at a point in time by orientation and perspective. Movement through a shape that already exists, and not yet in experiential space until local awareness encounters it.
Time as emergence
Time emerges as the sequence of distinct nows produced by localized awareness. Local awareness generates the experience of time. Polarity then becomes the mechanism for change throughout the nows.
Differentiation requires boundary so that agency can be honored. Freedom must be relational because we exist as separate individual awareness.
Where the ALL becomes a differentiated individual I AM Field. Containing all of an individual throughout time, space, and possibility. This section describes how information is accessed across nows and how continuity forms.
Three Registers of Self
“Identity” is not one thing. It operates simultaneously at three registers corresponding to the three ontological layers. Collapsing them creates confusion; holding them distinct creates mobility.
I AM Field
(Area · Field)
The invariant, complete individual fractal of the ALL – all of you across time, space, and possibility. Does not move, change, or remember. The space itself. Cannot be lost, altered, or threatened. What changes is never this.
Present Self
(Point · Agent)
The active aperture of the present now, the locus of choice, reweighting, and reorientation. Where change actually happens. The lever, not the whole. At full availability, this is the self actively holding contact with both the Narrative Self and the I AM Field simultaneously.
Narrative Self
(Line · Structure)
The timeline put into form, it is linked nows, continuity, the coherent “me” over time. Closest to what most people call reality. Story is the scaffolding of continuity before belief sets it in place. The most visible register but not the deepest.
The Now and How Information Is Accessed
Now = local coherence
A locally coherent experiential state where agency and embodiment exist. No fixed duration, no sharp boundary. The only place where experience happens.
Past and future are not locations in linear time. They describe what is recognized as realized versus what is recognized as only potential. Linear time is one particular arrangement of that, not its definition.
Only the present now has direct contact with experience and agency. Authority comes from contact.
Past
what is recognized as having been realized.
A description of which now nodes are remembered as having connected.
Future
what is recognized as only potential. Projection appearing now, not a location.
Memory
the linkage mechanism between nows. Access to already-realized configurations.
A connective rule by which one now inherits coherence from another.
Imagination
access to possible (not-yet-realized) configurations. The parallel to memory on the potential side.
Memory and imagination are linkage mechanisms. What changes when a memory link changes is not the past, but which realized now connects to the present now.
Memory, Belief, and Story
Memory
The linkage mechanism between nows. Access to already-realized configurations. Not storage, but a connective rule. Changing a memory link changes the
Narrative Self: a new connection between now-nodes creates new story, which creates new belief.
Key insight: What changes is not the past. The past is always what version of a particular now is remembered as having happened. The linkage is what’s mutable.
Belief
A memory that has integrated across multiple nows. Emergent, probabilistic, embodied, non-verbal at its core. The link holds, re-entry is easier, the configuration is treated as “available” or “likely.”
Key insight: You do not decide belief. Belief is what sticks. Words cannot create belief, only integration can. Belief is an effect, not a lever.
Story
A temporal scaffold that relates multiple nows coherently. Does not create belief. Does not assert truth. It is scaffolding of continuity before belief sets it in place.
Key insight: Story works only when framed as relation, not assertion. Retrospective story supports integration. Prospective story supports navigability. Story becomes distortion only when it replaces contact with the now.

The Awareness Stack
How undifferentiated totality becomes an active participant. These are simultaneous layers of a geometry. Awareness is the container; all other layers move within it.
Awareness
What is here?
The fact of subjective presence. Field of experiencing. Does not move. All else moves within it. Container, not a layer with direction.
Attention
What is foregrounded?
Selective amplification within awareness. Selection and salience. Directional, adjustable.
Structure: Yin relational geometry (field engagement)
Agent: Yang participation vector (perpetual identity)
Field: Yang pattern stabilization (structural coherence)
Orientation
Where am I in relation to this?
Positional framing. Zoom level. Relational positioning and perspective.

Capacity to modulate all layers before expression. Freedom within structure.

Change: Reweighting, Not Replacement
Change does not happen by becoming something else.
Nothing essential is ever threatened. Nothing needs to be discarded. Change is an access shift, not a self-replacement.
The I AM Field is always whole. The Present Self is what remembers, forgets, links, and orients. Change happens by how the Present Self references the I AM Field’s totality in the collective now.
What I understand “change your vibration” to point toward: shifting which contextual layers are active, changing the dominant pattern of linkage, altering the weighting of memory and expectation. It’s not actually becoming a different node, it is really just reweighting what is foregrounded now.
So you don’t change what you are. You change what is being brought forward.
Why cost narratives don’t fit
Cost is a transactional narrative applied to directional change. It assumes something must be given up or that movement requires sacrifice.
But if the I AM Field is always whole and change is reweighting, then nothing essential is lost in movement. What feels like loss is often directional incompatibiliy.
I am making the distinction between configurations and transactions.
Integration, Release, and the Liminal
Integration
The choice to include; to find the configuration in which something belongs rather than being excluded. Resolves an apparent binary not by choosing a side but by expanding the frame until both sides can be held.
Signal: a this/that choice that feels painful. The pain may indicate that the frame is too small, not that one option is wrong.
Control is the distorted version: it attempts the same resolution by managing the outside rather than expanding the inside. This creates incoherence because it requires ongoing expenditure to maintain.
Release
What follows successful integration. Once the frame has expanded and integration has solidified, what was previously held in tension simply dissolves.
Release is not sacrifice. It is not something given up. It burns off because it no longer has a structural role
It was only held because coherence required keeping it in view before integration was possible.
Letting go as the opposite of accumulation.
Liminal Presence
The capacity to remain oriented while reference points are updating: not knowing what comes next, not collapsing back to the old, not prematurely fixing the new. Staying here while coherence reconfigures.
This is the Present Self at full availability
actively holding contact with both the Narrative Self and the I AM Field simultaneously, without the usual contextual scaffolding to orient from.
Thresholds and Zooming
Thresholds
Phase boundaries that appear different at different scales. The point where reconfiguration becomes irreversible at a given scale. You don’t always know you crossed one until coherence stabilizes afterward.
Zooming as the mechanism of approach
Go smaller. Cut it in half. Whether it’s a task or not knowing where to go… cut it in half. Keep cutting until you find something you can be with, that you can move with.
You’re not pushing the destination further away. You’re zooming in on where you are. And every moment is its own, and once you find steadiness there, it starts to expand out. You can take bigger and bigger steps until you need to cut it in half again.
Relatively it looks like the threshold is further away. Structurally, you are closer because you are finding the path through the detail.
Zoom in →
coherence by release. Arrival becomes irrelevant. Charge dissolves.
Zoom out →
coherence by integration. Quieting urgency. Completion without traversal.
Neither implies integration or release by itself. The same zoom direction can either increase or decrease coherence depending on charge and how completion is being held.
Crossing a threshold doesn’t always look like forward motion. Sometimes it looks like depth.
Placeholder – notes in progress
As I was organizing this framework, it became clear that “Relation” was a step in the process. I created the section as a placeholder then realized it is actually implicit in individuation from the moment of the first split. Self and other emerge together, not sequentially. The individual node structurally requires relationship: without other, there is no reference point, no orientation, no agency in any meaningful sense.
By the time you reach Section 4, you are already in connection territory. Much of what appears in Ethics is the exploration of this section arrived at from the practice side rather than the theory side.
I’m leaving this here because I believe this likely will need its own exploration and explanation at some point.
The conditions that preserve agency among differentiated centers
If the ALL differentiates into individuals, and each individual carries all-ness as a complete fragment, then each individual carries the creative capacity of the ALL. This is the deeper structure of the golden rule, and it is not an arbitrary moral preference, but a logical consequence of what differentiation is.
Differentiation requires boundary so that agency can be honored. Freedom must be relational because we exist as separate individual awareness.
Three Ontological Layers
Registers of how something is participating. Any layer can act as Driver or Field depending on context.
Structure
Realized · Line 1 · Nature
What has form. Sedimented agency. The world as found. Prior agency crystallized.
What other agents have put into form and stabilized.
Agent
Relational · Line 2 · Human Nature
Agency in motion. Connects Structure and Field. The player. Participation in relationship. The middle term that operates in both Structure and Field.
Field
Potential · Line 3 · Spirit
Pure potential. Awareness as context. Exists independent of action. The instruction set and contains any number of information blueprints.
Note on “Field”: the term is used here for ontological Layer 3 (potential/spirit) and separately for the I AM Field (individual invariant node). These are distinct uses and context determines which is meant.
Agency: Key Distinctions
Driver / Field: a relational role
Any of the three layers can act as
Driver (the one initiating or directing in a given moment)
Field (the context being shaped or drawn from). This describes the relational dynamic, not the ontological category.
Agency
Capacity to orient, choose, and participate from within one’s own field. An individual always retains agency. Expression can be coherent (aligned, clean signal) or distorted (reactive, unconscious). Distortion creates responsibility for repair.
Authorship
Causal attribution over an outcome. Decreases as the number of separate agents involved increases. Control claims authorship where scope usually doesn’t support it.
Influence
Affecting conditions without claiming authorship. Operates within scope alongside other agents. Does not confer authorship. The ethical mode of participation.
Control
Attempt to determine outcomes by overriding uncertainty or distributed causation. Not the same as agency. Moves outward to maintain coherence rather than expanding inward, which creates ongoing incoherence because it requires continuous expenditure to sustain. Hold lightly.
Relationship: the event the whole structure makes possible
Two nodes perceiving each other creates a relational event neither could generate alone.
The ALL gains outside perspective on itself. To be seen is a mechanism, not just an experience.
Core Ethical Principles
Scales of Agency
The framework does not require the individual human as entry point.
Agency operates at multiple scopes. Each scope can act as Driver or Field relative to another.
Scope levels (working list/not fixed): Individual · Relational pair · Family/ancestry · Community · Soul group/frequency alignment · Collective field · Species · …
Collective as Agent
A collective that aligns around a shared frequency can itself become an organized agent; subject to the same full structure as any individual agent. This includes distorted expression and responsibility for repair.
Agreement operates across all three layers simultaneously: at Structure it is sedimented collective pattern; at Agent it is alignment of individual frequencies; at Field it is the shared information context that gets activated.
Agreement as collective agency mechanism
When agents align around a shared intent or framework, that alignment creates a frequency, or the frequency draws the alignment. The collective can then act as a coherent organized agent without control or override of any individual node.
Making a property available
Not a broadcast into neutral space or even acting as a conduit for the energy. This is an oriented action within a structured field.
Know the pattern, know the intent, orient to the structure that contains that information, align to it in that moment until magnetism creates the cycle that sediments it into form.
Calling back your energy is reconfiguration, not retrieval. It is re-individualizing back to your baseline I AM field signature after temporarily joining a collective field.
Field Awareness: Patterns That Co-Travel
Strong field properties likely have co-travelers
When your I AM Field (or the portion of it your current awareness operates in) contains a particular pattern or frequency, it can also carry (along that same frequency) collective sedimented patterns that have historically accompanied it. The scope can be at any level – generational, societal, even just within your own life.
The practice is neutral identification: not judgment, not hierarchy; just self-knowledge. Parsing out which patterns are yours (chosen here and now) and which are co-traveling passengers.
Patterns travel together when they share a frequency; when they have been activated in the same contexts, by the same kinds of people, toward the same kinds of ends. It could extend to personal and interpersonal patterns that you’ve developed over your lifetime (and potentially previous lifetimes, if you believe in that). The field doesn’t sort them. It carries the bundle.
Using an example from personal experience:
Clarity, as a field property, has a strong correction component – it naturally identifies where things are misaligned. That’s not a problem in itself. Correction has also been one of the primary instruments of coercive systems: the insistence that someone see clearly, usually on someone else’s terms, with someone else’s authority behind it. Those two things (genuine clarity and coercive correction) have traveled in the same bundle for some time.
So a person whose I AM Field carries a strong clarity property may find, without intending it, that when they activate clarity they also activate the sedimented correction pattern, and along with it, the freight of coercion that correction has historically carried. The people on the receiving end of that field may feel something that doesn’t match your intention at all. Not because you meant harm. Because the bundle hasn’t been sorted yet.
The extraction risk is high here specifically because clarity internally feels like offering something: illumination, insight, help. It doesn’t feel like taking. But if the correction component is running underneath it, the person receiving it may be paying a cost that isn’t named and wasn’t consented to. That’s the structure of extraction, regardless of intent.
The work is sorting the bundle, and for me specifically, I’ve been learning to activate clarity without automatically triggering the correction frequency, or at minimum knowing when I have and taking responsibility for the contact it creates.
I am finding this practice to be one pathway to nuance. It is a way to avoid falling into a binary trap of “justifying my clarity as righteous” vs “dimming what I offer in fear of causing harm”, and into something with more contact, more here, more relational.
What this makes possible
Once co-traveling patterns are identified and parsed, you can act from the frequency you intend rather than the full bundle.
In practice:
Clean Spellwork
action that expresses the intended pattern without activating co-travelers unintentionally.
Coherent relational presence
engaging from your actual field rather than from sedimented collective defaults.
The difference from conventional shadow work: the same conclusion is reached, but through a logical path derived from the cosmology rather than from psychology or hierarchy. The “shadow” is not a moral or psychological failure state. It is a navigational observation about which frequencies are co-traveling. At least in this context.

Discernment and Coherence
Discernment
Calm, even when firm. Spacious rather than urgent. Oriented toward clarity, not control. Able to tolerate ambiguity. Stable across time.
Contact with reality + willingness to be changed by what is revealed.
Reactivity
Urgency or pressure to act now. Constriction or narrowing of options. Binary thinking. Justification loops. A sense of being “pulled” rather than choosing.
When these are present, pause.
Curiosity as bridge
When coherence is unclear, curiosity restores orientation without forcing action.
Opens discernment, but needs contact to stay honest.
Without contact, curiosity becomes intellectualization or spiritual bypass.
Coherence/Internal Unity
Internal alignment between belief, perception, body, and speech within the present context. Felt somatically as openness, clarity, and responsiveness, rather than tension or compulsion.
Arises from facing what is actually present.
Coherence is contextual and dynamic. What is coherent may change as conditions, scope, and consent change.
If an ethic creates fear, rigidity, self-suppression, or internal conflict, coherence has been lost and the ethic must be re-examined.
I trust coherence over rule-following. I revise ethics in service of restored alignment.
Extraction
Extraction is about who pays, not about intention.
Extraction occurs when
a system draws capacity, energy, attention, labor, or coherence from another system without that system’s explicit, informed, and sustainable consent. Often invisibly or by default.
Extraction is NOT
helping · caring · influencing conditions · exchanging value · offering support · choosing to give · sacrifice that is explicitly chosen and bounded.
Influence
adjusts conditions, does not require a specific person to pay, increases available options, does not collapse if you disengage.
Exchange
costs are named, participation is chosen, boundaries are clear, duration is finite or renegotiable.
Extraction
costs are hidden, participation is assumed, boundaries are porous, duration is undefined.
Four markers of extraction:
- There is an unnamed payer: someone absorbs cost not named, acknowledged, or chosen.
- Consent is assumed rather than given.
- Capacity is treated as infinite when it isn’t.
- The system requires ongoing draw to function/collapses when someone steps away.
